VSWR – voltage standing wave ratio, it defines the transmission line (Generator-Load) matching degree, and is determined by the following equation:

VSWR=
, where

Umax - maximum standing wave voltage value in transmission line;
Umin - maximum standing wave voltage value in transmission line;
Ins Lloss - direct loss, dB, defines high frequency power losses in transmission line (device), the level absorbed by device and determined by the equation:

Ins Loss =10lg
Pin
Pout
, where

Pin - device input power;
Pout - device output power at its operating in circuit-closing connection.

Isol (a times) dB - reverse loss (for isolators), isolation (for circulators), defines the generator (high frequency power source) safety degree from the load reflected signal, and is determined by the equation:

Isol (a times)=10lg
Pin
Pout
, where

Pin - device input power;
Pout - device output power at reverse device circuit-closing connection for isolators;, and
Pout - power level in the channel 3 for circulators with the high frequency power spreading in the heating of channels 1® 2®3.
All mentioned parameters are controlled with panoramic automatic VSWR and attenuation meters under the standards developed according to MEC recommendations.
